Dear Dad,

I went to dance tonight and my instructor was telling me about a student whose Dad died on Christmas Eve. And even though I don't know her, I hope that I can befriend her and offer her support if she needs or asks for it. I know how she feels and sometimes it is helpful to have someone who has been through it before.

I don't know what her father's name is but do you think that you can keep an eye out for him up in heaven? Give him a big hug and welcome him to paradise. Become friends with him up there, then you'll have someone to sit with when you watch us at dancing competitions and events.

Thanks Dad,
Daughter
Dear Daddy,

Today I took Randy for a walk at Egbert's Lake, just like we used to. Randy loved it...he even was brave and wanted to walk on the ice. But I wouldn't let him, of course. Walking around the lake reminded me of you. After all, you are the one who first introduced us to the lake. I got the feeling that you were watching us and that made me smile and feel warm.

When I was driving home from the lake, there were about 30 turkeys on the neighbor's lawn. You would have liked it.

I love you!
I miss you!

Love,
Daughter
